ZEBULON, North Carolina – William “Bill’ Munsell, Jr. age, 74, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Wake Medical in Raleigh, North Carolina.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton, North Carolina with Reverend David Sutphin officiating.
Bill was born on August 30, 1946 in Summerville, Mass to the late William Earl Munsell, Sr. and the late Eva Campbell Munsell. He served his country for twenty years in the U.S. Marines, the U.S. Army and retiring from the U.S. Air Force. After his military service, Bill worked at Falls of the Neuse Waste Water for the City Of Raleigh, NC in which he retired from waste water in 2008. He also worked for The City Of Garner in waste water, as well as The City of Henderson at their waste water treatment plant. He had a total of 19 years in waste water treatment when he retired. He enjoyed working, playing with his grandkids, fishing, country music, blue grass music and all around living life. He is gone, but not forgotten or loved, and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Rose Marie Sarver-Munsell; his children, Patti Munsell Weathington, William Johnny Munsell, and Robert Joseph Munsell; stepchildren, Victoria Mae Sarver and Khadejah Maher Esleem; grandchildren, Yousef Ibrahim Alhallaq, Dianna Alhallaq, Malak Alhallaq and Yasmeen Alhallaq; step-grandchildren, Maggie Robison, Samatha Robison, James Robison, Cristy Robison and Brittney Robison; a sister, Jenny Munsell; and brothers-in –law, Johnny Zwacker and Roy Lee Collins; son-in law, Art Weathington; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, a daughter Michel Marie Munsell; and two sisters: Mildard "Millie" Munsell Zwacker and Eva Munsell.
