Willis Arthur Norris

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 19, 2025, in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Johnson and Pastor Kelly Darnell officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Pinecrest Memorial Park with military rites.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Monday, May 19, 2025, at the funeral home, prior to the service.

He was born on August 16, 1930, in Harnett County, North Carolina, to the late Marselous Norris and Nannie Graham Norris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Archie “Buddy” Norris, Marselous “Hardy” Norris, Graham Norris, and sisters Edna Stephens, Virginia Dziedzic, and Inez Jackson.

Mr. Norris was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired dispatcher and driver. He was a long-time member and former Deacon of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed time with his family, gardening, carpentry, and fishing at “the river”.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Wilma Jean Johnson Norris; three children, Debbie Bliss and husband George, Teresa Dawson and husband Jimmy, Craig Norris and wife Natalie; six grandchildren Jeff Bliss, Sarah Bliss Lentz (Patrick), Lillian Dawson, Madi Dawson, Daryl Norris (Sarah), Stephanie Norris Hufnagle (Allen); six great grandchildren, Nate Lentz, Penny Lentz, Annabelle Norris, Lucille Norris, Hazel Norris, and Mabel Norris.
