Anne C Walsh

Anne Carek Walsh, a lifelong Roslyn resident passed away June 19. 2014 at Royal Vista Nursing & Rehab in Ellensburg. She was 102. Mrs. Walsh was born November 13, 1911, one of two children to Mike P. Carek and Mary Vasisko Carek.

She graduated from Roslyn High School in 1930 and later attended Peterson School of Business in Seattle. Upon returning to Roslyn, she worked at the NW Improvement Company.

In 1947 she married Thomas Walsh and became a full time homemaker.

Mrs. Walsh was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother John Carek. She is survived by her two daughters, Maribeth Casassa of West Lafayette, IN, and Patty Walsh Ericksen of Indianola, WA., four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A funeral mass celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 am July 22, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Roslyn.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception church or the Roslyn Fire Department.
