Barbara J. Wise

She was born June 25, 1939 in Clearfield, the daughter of Wayne and Lorraine (Shaffer) Ross.

Barbara was a graduate of Curwensville Area High School and the Altoona School of Cosmetology.

She had worked at Kent Sportswear, Target, Clearfield Equipment and had driven school bus for H.V. Camberg. Barbara had owned and operated a Beauty Salon and was co-owner with her husband Bill of Clearfield Agway and Pleasant Gap Agway, retiring in 2006.

She loved her grandkids, supporting and attending all their events.

Barbara is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Wise whom she married November 25, 1987, her four children; Susan Danko (Michael Holmes) of Morrisdale, Robert L. Troxell and Michael L. Troxell both of Clearfield and Shari K. Wharton and her husband Richard of Berwinsdale, nine grandchildren; Dane and Kyle Danko, Megan Kuntz, Paden and Jordan Troxell and Riley, Reagan, Reed and Rainey Wharton, three great grandchildren; Conner, Addyson and Dawson Danko, two step-children; Scott Wise of Pittsburgh and Shane Wise of Hawaii, a sister, Gwen McCartney and her husband Bruce of Marron and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Joseph H. Troxell whom she married October 24, 1959 and who passed away March 25, 1984, a sister, Virginia “Ginger” Bloom, a brother, Arthur Ross and a son-in-law, Fred Nester.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Rev. Richard Engle officiating. Interment will be in Fruit Hill Cemetery, Ansonville.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
