
On December 18, 1932 she was born in Johnsonburg, PA; a daughter to the late Verne L. Baker and Gertrude C. (Perry) Baker.
She graduated from the Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing and later became an instructor. She was instrumental in starting the LPN Program at the Vo-Tech, where she instructed there for many years. She finished her career at Clearfield Middle School as a school nurse until her retirement. Mrs. Quinn pursued an RN-BSN degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she graduated magna cum laude while working full-time and raising a family.
Mrs. Quinn was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a member of the Nurses Alumni Association of the Clearfield Hospital, enjoyed reading, loved cats, loved flower gardening, and appreciated music.
Survivors include one daughter, Diana Quinn of Clearfield; one son, Daniel Quinn of NY; three grandchildren, Carla Shomo and fiancé Charles Bloom, Jessica Jeffries and husband James all of Clearfield, and Tyler Quinn and wife Amber of Cabot, PA; one great-grandchild, Tesher Quinn. She was the last of her generation.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James Quinn and Timothy “Buckwheat” Quinn; infant grandson, Jameson Timothy Quinn; and husband, James R. Quinn.
Funeral services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home on Monday, April 25 ,2016 at 11am with Rev. Robert Stump officiating. Burial will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
