George F. Hunt

George F. Hunt, 79 of Mineral Springs, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of 60 years to Audrey J. (Jordan) Hunt of Mineral Springs whom he married August 29, 1953.

Born January 15, 1935 in Winterburn, PA, he was the son of the late Spencer and Thelma (Greene) Hunt.

Mr. Hunt was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Church, Clearfield.

He was employed as a heavy equipment operator retiring from Al Hamilton Contracting.

George was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Club of Philipsburg. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting and camping.

Surviving in addition to his wife are five daughters, daughter-in-law and four sons; Dixie D. Grumblatt, Clearfield; Deanna L. Hunt, Clearfield; Denise R. Williams and her husband Anthony L., Wallaceton; Daphne A. Hunt and fiancé’ Thomas E. Martin, Clearfield; Dana G. Litz and companion Brian Stucke, Mineral Springs; Daughter-in-law: Laurie Hunt, Clearfield; Donald S. Hunt and his wife Marsha L. Shiloh; Douglas L. Hunt, Woodland; David L. Hunt and his wife Bethany L., Clearfield; Dan G. Hunt, Mineral Springs; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; two brothers: Albert Hunt and his wife Carolyn, Woodland; Delbert Hunt and his wife Dorothy, DuBois.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Verda Hunt.

A service to celebrate the life of George F. Hunt will be at 11:00 AM Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Bennett and Houser

Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E. Locust Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 with Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating.

A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be Sunday from 2:00 – 8:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM the time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
