He was born on October 10, 1944 in Clearfield, the son of the late Harry and Sarah (Haney) Keirn. On March 16, 1963 he married Mary Kathleen “Kitty” (Carr) Keirn.
Retired, Jim worked as a union electrician for IBEW #5 and had just recently received his 50 year membership pin.
Jim was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed gardening, outside work, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Kitty Keirn, of Clearfield; two daughters: Patricia Seramone of Wilmington, DE and Mary Ellen Keirn of Clearfield; two grandsons: Harrison and Salvatore Seramone; a brother, Richard (Lois) Keirn and a sister, Bonnie (Robert) Vokes both of Clearfield.
At the wishes of Jim there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc.
The family ask that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
