John S. Buckley

Born May 30, 1945 in Dubois, PA he was the son of the late Ernest Buckley and the late Helene (Callahan) (Buckley) Lantz.

He was retired from the Clearfield Area School District as the supervisor of the maintenance department.

Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Thomas (Brent) of Clearfield, PA and Sherri Buckley (Frank Buffington) of Harrisburg, PA. John is also survived by his first wife, Julia Hallam of Osceola Mills, PA, mother of his children and his second wife, Kristen Barratt of Linden, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Neil Buckley.

Known as a go-to person for repairs, who could fix anything and would stop at nothing to help someone in need.

He left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In honoring John’s wishes there will be no public visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 108R N. 2nd Street, Suite 1B, Clearfield, PA 16830 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
