Mary Jane Bishop

Born November 17, 1939 in Bigler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Darby Curley, Sr. and Alverta (Fleck) Curley- Kozak.

She was a homemaker and a cosmetology Instructor at Clearfield Beauty Academy.

Mrs. Bishop was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.

Surviving are 2 sons and a daughter: James R. Bishop, Jr. and his wife Sherry, Woodland; Debra A. Graham and her husband Shawn, Bigler and William L. Bishop and his wife Melissa, Woodland; 6 grandchildren: Tyler and Daniel Bishop, Travis and Bryan English, Shae and Aspen Bishop; 2 great grandchildren: Brooklynn and Summerland English; 1 sister and 2 brothers: Margaret Dides and husband Paul, Clearfield; Darby Curley and his wife Freddie, Cleveland, OH and Jack Curley, Philipsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James R. Bishop, Sr. whom she married April 30, 1956 and died November 22, 2006.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mary Jane Bishop will be at 2:00 PM Monday, September 8, 2014 at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E Locust Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 with Pastor Sean Patrick Smith officiating. A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be on Monday from 11:00 until the hour of service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
