Robert J. Roos

Mr. Roos was born July 24, 1940 in Lanse, the son of Herbert E. and Helen E. (Bowdenshock) Roos.

He was a retired Sheet Metal Worker.

Mr. Roos was affiliated with the Grassflat-Lanse Lutheran Church.

He was a member of the Drivers and Owners Racing Association.

Mr. Roos enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman making many trips to Canada. He also had a passion for racing having driven race cars at many of the local tracks throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Lonna J. Lombardo and her husband Charles of Clearfield and two grandchildren; Robert C. and Tia J. Lombardo.

Mr. Roos was the last member of his generation having been preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Martha J. “Martie” (O’Dell) Roos who passed away March 30, 2016 and whom he married April 10, 1962 and a sister Lois Roos.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Scott Schultz officiating. Interment will be at Grassflat-Lanse Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM and on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the hour of services.
