

She was born September 16, 1943 in Sanborn, the daughter of Albert and Nora Avanel (Gray) Yarger.
Mrs. White was a graduate of the Moshannon Valley High School.
She had worked for McGregor Sportswear, Target Sportswear, Clearfield Community Leasing and retired from the Clearfield Area School District having worked in the Cafeteria.
Mrs. White was a member of the O’Shanter United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Capsule Sisters. She was also a member of the Glen Richey Fire Company Auxiliary.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an amazing wife and mother. She was known as “Mammy” to her two grandsons. They were the joy of her life, she spent hours watching and cheering them on as they played baseball. She was one of their biggest fans.
Sandra is survived by her husband, William A. “Pokey” White whom she married June 12, 1965, her two children; William A. White III and his wife Sherri of Clearfield and Leann C. Shaw and her husband Dale of Osceola Mills, two grandsons; Derek and Trey Shaw, three siblings; Elwood “Tom” Yarger and his wife Linda of Bradenton, FL, Dennis Yarger and his wife Bernice of Harrisburg and Carol Lowe of Roaring Springs and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Duane W. Stiner officiating. Interment will be in Thompson Cemetery, Glen Richey.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the O’Shanter United Methodist Church or the Glen Richey Fire Company, 86 Firehouse Road, Glen Richey, PA 16837.
The family would like to thank Colonial Courtyard Staff and AseraCare Hospice for the care and love they gave Sandi.
