Thomas L. Barr

Mr. Barr was born August 3, 1948 at Clearfield, the son of Lawrence and Margaret (Bradford) Barr Bloom.

He was a graduate of Curwensville High School.

Mr. Barr was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam Era.

He was employed by Beard Oil Co. for 25 years and was the owner of Barr’s Heating since 1994.

Mr. Barr was a member of the Centre Grove United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sonya (McCall) Barr whom he married November 8, 1969 at Grampian, a son, Brian Barr and his wife Alise, three grandchildren; Nathan, Nolan and Renee, two brothers; William and his wife Mae and Jon and his wife Sue all of Clearfield and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Barr was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Barbara Barr and his step-father, Frank R. Bloom.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with Pastor Rick Butler officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until the hour of services.
