Veronica L. Wise

Mrs. Wise was born May 27, 1920 in Tyler, PA., the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Maholtz) Kosin.

She was a homemaker and had worked for McGregor Sportswear.

Mrs. Wise was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield.

Mrs. Wise was a member of the Clearfield Senior Center and AARP.

She is survived by a daughter, Jeannette A. Reed of Clearfield, two grandchildren; Pamela Sue Oliver of Ramey and Carla Maines and her husband Keith of Morrisdale, three great grandchildren; Brittany Oliver, Kristyn Oliver and Arielle Maines and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wise was the last member of her generation having been preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James B. Wise whom she married July 30, 1941 and who passed away April 28, 1997, a daughter, Jane Loretta Wise, a grandson, Albert Carl Reed, Jr., eight sisters; Catherine Wells, Helen Stanton, Anna Seduski, Dorothy Scrabot, Mary Feldman, Elizabeth Koontz, Josephine Miller and Rosella Katich, four brothers; Frank, Pete, Edward and John Kosin and a son-in-law, Albert C. Reed, Sr.

Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. A Vigil Service will be held at 5:45 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield with Monsignor H. Desmond McGee as celebrant. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front St. Clearfield, PA 16830.
