

William was born on March 19, 1937 in Clearfield, the son of Clifford C. and Elaine (Dimmick) Daub.
On February 18, 1958, in the Hyde Wesleyan Church he wed the former Virginia M. Mabie who survives him, along with their three daughters, Teresa D. Bailor and her husband, Lloyd and Donna S. Davies, all of Clearfield, and Billie Jo “B.J.” Fleck and her husband, Jamin of Woodstock, GA.
He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jamie Berntheizel and her husband, James of Columbia, PA,
Michael Friberg and his wife, Casey of Clearfield, PA, Walter John Gisewhite and his wife, Erin of Chester, VA, Amanda Leavy and her husband Brian of DuBois, PA, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
William is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Williams and Geraldine Eckman, both of Lancaster, PA, Kim Coulter of Clearfield, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. William was the last member of his family to carry the Daub name.
He is preceded in death by his parents and six brothers, Jack, Ronald, Roy, Ray, James, and Gerald.
William served his country during the Korean War as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force and maintained the operations of military aircraft. He was an employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for over 25 years, William operated a Lowboy and retired in 1999. He was a member of the Hyde Baptist Church. He enjoyed being with his family, fishing, and hunting.
In honoring William’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.
Memorials may be made, in memory of William Charles Daub, to the charity of the donor’s choice.
