

Al Pierri, 57 of Clearwater, FL (Formerly of Montclair, NJ) died suddenly Thursday, December 20th while playing ice hockey. Born December 16th, 1955 in Italy to Carmela and Vittorio Pierri. Al moved to the Bronx, New York before his first birthday.
He attended Cardinal Spellman High School and then attended the Fordham University Business School, graduating Cum Laude in 1978. While at Fordham, he became a member of the Kappa Zeta Epsilon Fraternity. He then went on to New York Law, graduating with a J.D. in 1981. He also received a LLM (Master of Laws in Taxation) from New York University in 1987.
Al was a real estate developer, a founding partner of the RPM Development Group in Montclair, NJ and attorney at law. He also found time to be a key member of several organizations including the Montclair Hockey Club (NJ) and The Essex County Mental Health Association (NJ). He was an avid skier, ice hockey player, boater and handyman.
Al is survived by his wife, Lorraine, who remembers him as the love of her life, her soul mate, romantic, loving husband, a love never ever to be found again. He also is survived by his two children Michael and Jacquie, who remember him as an amazing father, a constant source of support and wise guidance. His sisters Maria and Antoinette, remember him as an their life time role model and his nieces and nephews Allie, Greg, Stephen, Matt, and Giulia remember him as the rock of our family, holding the family together through hard times. The loss of his niece Victoria in 2009 devastated our family and Al would have wanted her to be remembered and memorialized here
A memorial service will be held in Florida at the Clearwater Yacht Club 11:00AM on Monday, December 24th.A memorial service will be held in Montclair, NJ at the Unitarian Church of Montclair on 67 Church St. at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 29th.
