Anna Marie Schloder, 90, of Largo, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025. Born on October 24, 1934, in Reading, Pennsylvania, Anna was the beloved daughter of Charles and Frances Maurer and grew up alongside her brother, Charles.
A graduate of Wilson High School and later a nursing school graduate, Anna dedicated her career to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at the State Hospital when she was living in Pennsylvania.
In 1954, Anna married the love of her life, Marvin Schloder, and together they raised two children, Sara Jane and Jeffrey. Their home was filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family.
Anna and Marvin moved to Florida in 1984. Anna worked at nursing homes in the Pinellas County area until her retirement.
Anna had many passions. She was an avid square dancer, enjoyed bowling and roller skating, loved playing cards and dominos with friends, and found joy in caring for orchids. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Schloder, her son, Jeffrey Schloder, and her brother, Charles Maurer. Anna is survived by her daughter, Sara Jane (Dennis) Beshore; daughter-in-law Carol Schloder; her grandchildren Shelly (Leonard) Eller, Jason (Stacey) Beshore, Janelle (Thomas) Schloder, and Jonathan (Brooke) Schloder; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Bonnie Oplinger.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Anna’s memory to the Breast Cancer Foundation. The family will be having services for Anna privately.
