Cureton, Bessie Mae, born May 29, 1933 in Miami, Florida. Bessie passed away on June 11, 2015 in Palm Harbor, Fl.
She was the daughter of Russell and Ila Cureton. Bessie graduated from Gesu High School and attended Barry College, both institutions in Miami, Fl.
Bessie was a member of the Marine Corps. Reserve, she was active in sports, playing on local recreational teams in basketball, volleyball and softball. She later concentrated her athleticism on the sport of fencing in which she earned numerous awards.
