A longtime resident of the Slate Belt, Candace graduated from Wind Gap Elementary, Pen Argyl High School, and Cedar Crest College. She began her professional life as a teacher in Stroudsburg before transitioning into a successful career as a respected business executive in both privately held and public healthcare companies.
Candace was deeply devoted to her family and maintained close relationships with a circle of longtime friends. She was known for her warmth, generosity, and thoughtfulness—never missing a birthday or holiday without sending a card or kind gesture. The holidays were especially dear to her heart. Candace was celebrated for her baking talents, especially her much sought-after “Candy Canes,” which became a cherished Christmas tradition for many.
Candace is survived by her two brothers, Craig and Ernest; six nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews—all of whom loved her dearly. Her legacy of love, kindness, and joyful traditions will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Online condolences may be offered via dignitymemorial.com.
Entombment will be at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park alongside her mother, Joyce Marie Turtzo (Kaiser), and father, Ernest Arthur Turtzo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Verma Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides custom cap wigs to women and children battling cancer. In honor of Candace—who never left the house without a fashionable hat — please visit www.vermafoundation.org to support a cause that reflects her spirit and strength.
