She left us while sleeping peacefully at her residence in Orchid Cove Nursing Home in Oldsmar, Florida. She was in her 104th year.
Born in Dominican Republic in 1917 as one of 11 children. She witnessed incredible changes to her world over more than ten decades.
She met Manuel Landron, a merchant seaman in Dominican Republic and married in 1938, relocating to Puerto Rico one year later to the home of her husband. Two years later she relocated again to Brooklyn, New York USA, where she started her family with the birth of her son Manuel Jr, followed by her daughter Evelyn. She was a wonderful keeper of the home and loving wife in a marriage that lasted until Manuel’s Sr. death in 2004
Most of all, she loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well.
Carmen lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker, dressmaker and factory machine operator in Brooklyn, New York.
She loved to cook, kept an immaculate house, was highly skilled in sewing and loved to get together with family and friends. She was a very caring person who was always the first one there when any family member or friends were in need.
She will be dearly missed and remembered for her engaging and loving smile, which will last forever in our hearts.
A graveside service for Carmen will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759.
