Christine A. Ferguson

Christine Ann “Kay” Ferguson was dearly loved by her husband, Jim Ferguson, his children, Sheri Jamieson & husband, Thomas, and David Ferguson & wife, Whittney, grandchildren, Ellie, Ethan & Evan Jamieson, and Drew, Nate, Liddy & Luke Ferguson, her brother, Bob Brown & wife, Cathy, her son, Brian Hammond & wife, Becky, her daughter, Becky Banda & husband Armando, and grandchildren, Colton & Jacob Hammond, Zachary & Grant Banda

She was preceded in death by her father, William H. Brown, her mother, Ruth L. Brown, her brother, William “Bill” Brown and her first husband, Scott Hammond.

Kay had a passion for education, was an Advanced Placement English teacher for over 4 decades and became a grader for the National AP English exam. She retired from Tuloso - Midway High School in Corpus Christi, TX in 2009.

She was an excellent soprano soloist and enjoyed sewing, quilting, traveling, and reading. She challenged her students to excel and was held in the highest regard by her graduates. She had great fun with her children and grandchildren of whom she was so very proud and who were the beneficiaries of her advice and encouragement. She was devoted to her Lord Jesus in her daily prayers for her family and loved ones. Kay will be greatly missed by all of us.
