Courtney, Butch to family, was born in Ocala, Florida to Pat and Elizabeth Moore. The family moved to Bainbridge, Georgia where he attended local schools and graduated high school. He played Little League baseball and earned his rank as Eagle Scout. In high school, he played varsity football and went on to compete in men’s doubles in tennis.
After the family moved back to Florida in 1962, he attended St. Petersburg Junior College and graduated from the University of Florida with a pharmacy degree. He worked in local retail and hospital pharmacies. He also served in the National Guard. He later continued his education earning his Pharm D degree and finished his career as a consultant traveling to nursing homes in Florida.
Butch leaves behind his sister, Sarah Moore McAdoo (Christopher); nephew, Chad Freeman (Jesika), great nephew, Miles Freeman; niece, Martha McAdoo; great nephew, Naji Freeman (Marie Parham).
