

David Gregory Nicoletto Sr., also known as “Greg” or “Nick”, 73, of Clearwater passed away August 20, 2024. He was born in the Centro Astruriano Hospital in Ybor City on September 15, 1950 to parents Peter and Elizabeth Nicoletto. Greg graduated from Chamberlain High School. For his career, Greg became a certified welder mechanic and serviceman and worked for Tampa Electric Company for many years. He married Mary Louise Fields and they had three children Diedra Michelle Nicoletto, Angela Denise Nicoletto, and David Gregory Nicoletto Jr. He would then marry Marlene Ann Schmidt on May 18, 1981 and they had a daughter together named Meghan Elizabeth Nicoletto. In his free time, Greg enjoyed fishing, vintage cars, gun collecting, but most of all spending time with his family.
Greg is preceded in death by his loving wife Marlene Ann Schmidt, daughters Angela Denise Nicoletto, and Meghan Elizabeth Nicoletto. He is survived by his children Diedra Michelle Nicoletto, David Gregory Nicoletto Jr., grandchildren Christian Skylar Nicoletto and Cameron Giovanni Coley, brothers Steven Forrest Nicoletto and Christopher Anthony Nicoletto, his mother Alice Elizabeth Nicoletto “Betty”, and nephew Steven Peter Angelo Nicoletto.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on his birthday, Sunday September 15, 2024 at 11:00am at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home with inurnment at the cemetery to take place following services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Greg's memory can be donated to Empath Hospice in Palm Harbor.
