

NAVARRO, Diego R. 83, of Clearwater, passed aw-ay Aug. 9, 2014, at Tierra Pin-es Center in Largo. He was a native of Ontario, CA, and came to Clearwater in 1984. He was a retired machinist at Silor Optical and was also a former part time employee with Publix Super Market in their produce department. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, Catholic, and former board of director at Rain Tree Village. Survived by his wife of 28 years, Yvette; daughters, Laura (Chester) Thompson & Kathy (Roy) Cardenas; grand-daughters, Lauren (Jason) Lewis & Jonnay (Zak) Wenger; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Easton Wenger & Brooklyn Lewis; sisters, Bertha (Herman) Moraga, Dora (Lito) Fuentes & Uva Mendes; and sister-in-law, Olivia Navarro. We were married on April 5, 1986. I was so blessed to be married to the love of my life. It was a match made in Heaven. Diego was compassionate, unselfish, and loving man that touched many lives in so many ways. He was a loving husband, father and friend who will be dearly missed. Good bye my love, you have a new home in heaven that will last forever. I will see you again in our forever home. Funeral Se-rvices will be held at 11 am, Saturday, Aug. 23, at Sylvan Abbey United Methodist Chu-rch.
