

Dorothy Bell Engelke, 95, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. Born on October 1, 1930, in Akron, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of the late Elsie May (née Hazelwood) and Harvey B. Taylor.
Dorothy lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love. A devout Catholic and caring homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home for all who entered. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be remembered always.
Dorothy was a longtime parishioner of Light of Christ Catholic Church, where her faith guided every chapter of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick Engelke, and her brother, Mitchell Taylor.
She is survived by her loving children, Dorothy D. Engelke, Diana G. (Greg) Pipkin, and Harvey (Dilia) Keith; cherished grandchildren, Sean M. Engelke, Nicole M. Engelke, Justin Eanes, Kyle Eanes, Kayc Johnson, Kristopher Johnson, Casey Pipkin, Crystal Keith, and William (Kristina) Keith; and her adored great-grandchildren, Janessa Anaya, Brian Carew, Andrew Martin, Kylee Eanes, Kyle Eanes Jr., Cash Martin, Jada Engelke, Kaciana Johnson, Hailey Johnson, Ryker Johnson, Harvey Keith Jr., Ethan and Oliver. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
A graveside service celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759.
Dorothy’s life was a testament to grace, compassion, and steadfast love—a beautiful example of faith lived fully and freely. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
