Eleanor Elaine Rossman

Eleanor Elaine Rossman (age 85) of Lagrange, Indiana passed away on Monday September, 4th 2023 at Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Pinellas Park, Florida. She had been living in Florida the past 2 years at Pacifica Senior Living to be near her family.

Eleanor was born March 26, 1938, in Marshall Michigan. Her parents were John and Esther (Terry) Poyser, who preceded her in death.

On October 5, 1957 she married Charles W. Rossman in Angola, Indiana. They were married 48 years when he passed away March 15, 2006. They had one daughter, Terry, who is married to Randy Meyers and they reside in Sturgis, Michigan and Clearwater, Florida.

Eleanor had one granddaughter, Hope, who is married to Ernesto Barrientos and three great grandchildren Emilia, Romeo and Preston Barrientos. They reside in Clearwater, Florida.

Eleanor had one remaining brother, Lee Poyser, of Shamoken, Pennsylvania. Her siblings preceding her in death were brothers Forrest, Fred and Frank Poyser and sisters Irene Grunke and Marilyn Oaxaca.

Eleanor worked in various jobs throughout her life and retired from the Lagrange Publishing company in 2003 working there for 17 years. She loved to travel, play cards ruthlessly and shopping. And she loved Elvis who she saw in person the year before he died.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 10am until the memorial service at 10:30 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759. A graveside service will be planned for next summer at Greenwood Cemetery in Lagrange, Indiana.
