Eoanna Zaharis Skidas, age 94, passed away on March 19, 2023. She was born and grew up in South Fork, PA. Eoanna moved to Wilmington, DE, where she was a member of the Tsintzinian Society. She was devoted to her faith and joined the choir and Philoptochos of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Wilmington.
Eoanna and her husband, Gus, retired to Clearwater, FL, where she continued to serve her community.
She donated her time to Clothes to Kids and again joined the Philoptochos of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Clearwater. Eoanna had a strong love for her country, and was dedicated to volunteering for the veterans.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Skidas; her parents, John and Antonia Zaharis; and her brothers, Pete and Marco. She is survived by her niece, Lisa Brady, grandnephews, Mark and Evan, and sister-in-law Sia Zaharis.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 12:00pm, with visitation from 11:00am-12:00pm at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 409 South Old Coachman Rd, Clearwater, FL 33765. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
