BERRY, Erma McKowen, 100, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Kittery, Maine, died April 28th. She was predeceased in death by her husband Granville, two sisters and two brothers. She was born on October 12, 1911 in York, Maine, attended York and New Bedford (Mass) high schools, and was graduated from Waltham Training School for Nurses in 1933 as a registered nurse. She worked at York and Portsmouth (NH) Hospitals, and was office nurse for the Chief of Surgery in Portsmouth before relocating to Clearwater. She was a lifetime member of Sarah Orne Jewett Chapter #176 OES. She is survived by a daughter Janice (Fred) Bickel and several nieces and nephews. Interment in First Congregational Church Cemetery, Kittery Point, at a later date.
