Esteban was a caring husband, father, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, father-in-law, and friend. He was born on December 07, 1950, in Loiza, Puerto Rico. He was the firstborn from a surprise set of twins born to Damaso Fraguada and Juana Gonzalez. He was raised by his Aunt Felicita Castro while he lived in Puerto Rico. He enjoyed spending time with his horses. He relocated from Puerto Rico to the Bronx, NY, with his twin brother Saul when they were 10 and their older brother Victor in 1961. When he arrived in NY he was reunited with his mother.
In 2001, Esteban and his family moved from NY to CT. After living in CT for 20 years, he and his wife Awilda moved to FL.
Esteban worked for 16 years at U.A.H.C. In 1987 Esteban began his career at the United States Postal Service working at several locations between NY, CT, and MA. In 2016 Esteban retired from the United States Postal Service.
Esteban was a selfless man; He was a humble yet hardworking man that did all that was necessary to provide for his family. He worked countless hours of overtime and received awards for perfect attendance. He was not only dedicated to his job, but to his family. Those countless hours of overtime equated to provisions for his family. Esteban was always ready and willing to help his family with whatever the need.
Esteban was an avid Yankees fan and loved watching all types of sports, including hockey, wrestling, and football. He also made sure he got “The Daily News” newspaper, that was a must for him.
In all things Esteban worshipped the Lord. Even in his moments of confusion, he always knew the “Presence of the Lord,” there was no misunderstanding that! Throughout times of weakness, he held his arms up as best he could and worshipped.
Esteban was an extreme jokester. He was always trying to fool anybody for a laugh, including his brother and sister in laws (before they were in-laws), and that trickled down to his nieces and nephews and eventually his grandchildren, which he enjoyed the most. Even until his last days, he had such a humorous spirit, saying the most sarcastic, witty, and unexpected comments, which would have the room erupting with laughter.
Esteban is survived by his wife of 46 years, Awilda, four children Adeline, Stephanie, Esteban Jr., and Jennifer, four grandchildren Francisco, Naelah, Hector III, Xavier and two sons-in-law Hector II and Roy, His Aunt Felicita, Brothers Saul, and Victor, Sister Anita and a multitude of nephews, nieces, and family.
