Born on Valentine's Day in 1933, Frances Honoski was blessed to live a long, healthy life. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, of 63 years. She is survived by her brother, Dominic Vangeli (Mary); as well as her children, Deborah Carlson (Mark), John Honoski (Vicki), and Laura Bowerman (Scott); and loving grandchildren, Hunter and Jana.
Frances loved her family and her care of them was evident in her remarkable cooking and baking. No one ever went hungry when they were in her presence. We called her the food pusher, but with love.
Always a pillar of fashion growing up, she extended her love of shopping to her daughters, who always were dressed beautifully.
Frances was an active member of the Massapequa Women’s Guild until the birth of Laura. She was very involved as class mother for John; and, helped her husband when he was a Webelos leader.
Frances worked at Doubleday Books in the 1950s until her marriage to William. She was the best mother and wife, and returned to work at 50 years of age, working for Nielsen Media Group until her retirement some 20+ years later.
Frances' last five years were at Grand Villas of New Port Richey, who, in addition to Gulfside Hospice, took impeccable and loving care of her until her passing.
We take comfort in knowing our mother is at peace and joined with our father.
A private graveside service for the family for Frances will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL 33759.
