FISHER, George H, Jr., 84, of New Port Richey, FL passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016. George was born in Queens, NY where he met and married, the love of his life, Patricia A. Semple in 1951. George began his family as he served in the Korean War as a Tech Sgt. in the US Marine Corp. Post war, George worked as a lineman for LILCO, Business Manager, and president of the IBEW Local Union 1049. They raised their family, son George and daughter Patricia in East Islip and Wading River, NY. 22 years ago George and Pat retired to New Port Richey Fl. George served his community as a member of the Marine Corp League, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, New Port Richey, FL. {and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, East Islip and Knights of Columbus, NY}. Survivors include his wife Pat; son, George H. Fisher III and wife Christine of Newport Beach Ca; and Patricia DePlasco and husband Anthony of Tampa, FL; 4 granddaughters Jennifer, Beth, Jessica & Julianne and great-granddaughter Ashtyn. Viewing will be from 2-4 pm Tuesday, March 29, 2016 with a Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater, FL.
