Geraldine Virginia Grass

Geraldine Virginia Grass, age 89, passed away peacefully July 21, 2022. She was born on July 6, 1933 in Buffalo, New York to Valentine and Elvira Loskorn. She grew up with two sisters, Jeanette and Delores, and two brothers, Henry and Richard. She married her teenage sweetheart, Kenneth Otto Grass on February 22, 1952, who preceded her in death in 2009.

She had many friends and had a very active social life, often playing Mahjongg, Bunco, penny poker, trivia night, and attending water aerobics. She was a warm and kind presence to all who knew her and was always ready to go to lunch, travel to an amusement park, or just have some fun. She loved many things but the pink streak in her hair and her love of giraffes will always be a part of everyone’s memory of her.

She is survived by her sister, Jeanette Miller, and her two sons, Kenneth Grass and Karl Grass, his wife Kathy Grass, her two grandchildren, Andrea Grass, and Michael Grass as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all.

Please join us in celebrating her life Sunday afternoon July 31, 2022 between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL. A short graveside service across the street will follow. Flowers may be sent or donations to the American Cancer Society may be made in her name.
