Glen H. Sublette

Glen Hugh Sublette Glen Hugh Sublette, age 91, of Clearwater, Florida, died Friday morning April 17, 2015 at Rosewood House Assisted Living. He was born Dec. 12, 1923 in Columbus, Indiana, the son of the late John B. and Anna Benham Sublette. He served in the Army overseas during WWII, and returned to Columbus to raise his family and work as an auto mechanic before moving to Florida. He worked for the city of Clearwater from 1972 until his retirement. He was a member of Countryside Baptist Church where he served as a volunteer for many years. He was also a member of the Columbus Masonic Lodge. Glen is survived by his wife, Luann (Smith) Sublette, a daughter Pamela (Gary) Cochran, a son Gary (Becky) Sublette, stepchildren Dave (Gwen) Hickey, Peggy (Randy) Wisnewsky, Patty (Bill) Procko, 14 Grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Sylvan Abby Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759. Reverend John Connell officiating the memorial. Interment will be at the Sylvan Abby Memorial Park following the Service. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Suncoast Hospice at 5771 Roosevelt Blvd, Ste 100, Clearwater, Florida 33760 , in his honor.
