Gregory R. Olsen

Gregory R. Olsen went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday July 3rd . Greg was the loved husband, dad, poppa and coach. Greg was married to wife, Sue, for 41 years. They have two children, Heather Stuecher (husband Ben) and Greg (wife Jillian). They have five beautiful grandchildren: Hannah, Noah, Emma, Samuel and Jackson. Greg began his career as a teacher and football coach at Tarpon Springs High School in 1976. He then moved to Largo High School in 1978 where he continued to teach and coach. Greg changed careers and went into sales and spent over 30 years as a partner with Food Equipment Representatives. Greg began coaching again, this time with his son, Greg. Over the past 10 years he coached baseball at Seminole High School and Calvary Christian High School. Greg was deeply loved by his family and the players he coached. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church 110N McMullen Booth Rd Clearwater, FL 33759 on Saturday, July 18th, 11:00am. There will be a Lunch Reception following the Service at Countryside Country Club 3001 Countryside Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33761. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the following organizations: Calvary Christian High School 110 N. McMullen-Booth Rd., Clearwater 33759 for the “Tuition Assistance Fund”; or the “Next Steps Campaign” for the multi-purpose athletic center; www.SmileTrain.org; or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
