Dr. Guneri “Baba” Mutlu, 83, of Clearwater, passed away September 10, 2015. Dr. and Mrs. Mutlu came to this country from their beloved homeland, Turkey, in 1959. Together, they set up an Ob-Gyn practice in Springfield, OH for 29 years, where Dr. Mutlu delivered over 4,500 babies. He is survived by his beloved wife, whom he had known for 65 years, Ulker Mutlu. He is also survived by three sons; Ike Aykut (Katy), Michael Merih (Lynn), and Steve Semih (Holly); as well as 8 grandchildren; Tyler, Matt, Andrew, Derek, Madison, Jake, Micah and Eli Guneri. There will be a 3pm celebration of Dr. Mutlu’s blessed life at Water’s Edge Condominiums Event Room 331 Cleveland Street, Clearwater, FL 33755 next Sunday, September 27th, with visitation two hours prior, from 1pm to 3pm. Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
