Jeff Pontius

68, of Clearwater Beach, FL, passed away on November 16, 2023. He was born in Mt. Gilead,

OH. He was a loving husband, father, son, and grandfather. Jeff was a dreamer. He was always

optimistic about the possibilities that the future had in store. In his youth, Jeff lived life to the

fullest through his adventures in flying planes, skiing, scuba diving, free diving, and snorkeling.

Jeff’s travels took him around the world from the Bahamas to Japan to Mexico. From childhood,

Jeff discovered a love of the piano. He continued to share that passion for piano with his family

into adulthood. And we can’t forget his deep love for baseball, as well as The Ohio State

Buckeyes. Jeff treasured his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Ivonne (56), his

children Nolan (15), Ian (32), Mikki (38), and Brandon (40), and their pet turtle Action (7).

Jeff’s grandchildren include Sebastian (6), Emerson (7), Trey (9), Delaney (10), and Cohen (12).

Services handled by Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home. A Visitation will be held on Saturday November 25 at 10 am followed by a service at 11 am.
