Jimmie Lee Ames, age 78, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Jimmie was born June 15, 1943 in Terry, WV to Thomas E Ames and Novella Weis. They both precede him in death. Jimmie is also preceded in death by brothers; Thomas W Ames II, Harry E Ames and John Paul Ames, sisters; Nancy E Spencer, Marjory C Young, Jennifer L Garten and Margaret L Savino.
Jimmie is survived by his loving wife; Lucile Ames, daughter; Kristel Sayenga (Erik), step daughter; Donna Weikel (John), step son; Donald Collins Jr., brothers; Jack O Ames, Samuel D Ames (Lana), Joseph S Ames and Timothy M Ames, sisters; Jewell F Falk, Theresa L Fields and Sheree Y Ames. A Host of nieces and nephews.
Jimmie was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He took pride in his green thumb and watching his plants and vegetables grow. Jimmie and Lucile enjoyed doing outdoor activities and traveling.
There will be military honors and a graveside service held for Jimmie later this week.
