Jo Ann Okie

Jo Ann Okie of Clearwater, Florida passed away on April 14, 2019. She was born in New York City on August 30, 1940 and moved with her family to New Jersey. After starting a family she settled in Sayreville, New Jersey until moving to Clearwater in spring of 1992.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Neumann; father, Ernie Rolfe; beloved son, Michael Okie and siblings, Liz Holliman, Patricia Fester, Martha Boyle, Paul Neumann, Carl Neumann and William Neumann.

Jo Ann is survived by her children, Donna Pepperdine of Kenosha, WI, Debra Spano of Sayreville, NJ, Ann Marie Okie of Clearwater, FL and Sharon Okie of Freehold, NJ. Jo Ann also leaves a loving legacy of 9 grandchildren, Nicole, Amanda, Alyson, Abigail, Patrick, Matthew, Olivia, Meredith, Sara and 3 great grandchildren, Ellie, Ryder and Rylie.

Jo Ann is also survived by her siblings, Debbie Bolamperti of Chino Valley, AZ, Ronnie Farley of Clearwater, FL, Nancy Gillen of Woodland Park, NJ, Kathy Owens of Clearwater, FL and Kevin Moriarty of Redington Shores, FL.

Jo Ann worked as a bookkeeper, retiring from Lincare after 17 years of service in April of 2014. She used her golden years spending time with her children, grandchildren both in NJ and FL. Spare time was spent searching for words, reading murder mysteries and watching Lifetime movies. Many family members enjoyed delicious holiday meals hosted by Aunt Jo Ann. She will be missed beyond words.
