John began his surveying career in Jacksonville, FL, employed by L.D. Bradley & Assoc, He later moved his family to Live Oak, FL. to join a close friend in a venture raising prized hogs while continuing to work as a surveyor, which became his lifelong vocation. He attained his State of Florida Surveyors License (#2984) in July of 1979. In 1986, he incorporated John R. Beach & Associates, Inc. He was a long-time resident of Tampa, FL.
John was a lifelong, avid bird hunter and a member of Ducks Unlimited and Waterfowl USA. He also loved to travel with his family and friends, especially to Italy.
He is survived by his "Beautiful Bride" of 58 years, Vicky Beach; their two daughters, Dorie Shaddock and Shauna Clemons; two sons-in-law, Jason Shaddock and Travis Clemons; six grandchildren, Haylee, Sydney, Coye, Hayden, Tyler, and Cooper; his three brothers, Samuel Beach, Charles Beach, and Douglas Beach, along with their wives; four nephews; and one niece.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Metropolitan Ministries Inc.

An Open House/Memorial Gathering of friends and family will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, located at 2853 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759, on October 24, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Calvary Church - Clearwater, located at 110 McMullen Booth Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759, on October 25, 2025, from 10:00 - 11:00 am, followed by a reception on-site.
