

Jon grew up in Newark, Ohio, where he enjoyed athletics, playing football for Newark Catholic High School. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering technology, launching a successful career as a software consultant that spanned over 25 years. His expertise in technology enabled him to travel the world, experiencing different cultures and building connections wherever he went.
Those who knew Jon will remember his quick wit, irreverent humor, and fluency in sarcasm, which brought laughter to many conversations. He was an avid fan of music, books, cars, IndyCar racing, and his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. Jon also had a deep love for animals, reflecting his compassionate nature.
In addition to his parents, Jon was preceded in death by his sister, Cheri L. Evans. He is survived by his niece, Katherine Murphy; his aunt and uncle, Mike and Ann (Huddy) Coligny; cousins; and numerous friends who will miss his humor, loyalty, and generous spirit.
A private memorial service will be held for family and close friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. The family requests that memorial donations in Jon's name be made to The Humane Society of Pinellas, 3040 FL-590, Clearwater, FL 33759, honoring his love for animals.
