Leslie Honig, 64, of Safety Harbor, FL, passed away on Feb 24, 2018. Our angel on earth. A devoted Mother, Ami, Sister, Daughter; and Wife of 40 years. She was loved by everyone whom she crossed paths with, both personally and professionally. She was a NICU nurse for 30 years, before becoming a nursing instructor at SPC, earning the title Professor Emerita. She was respected and adored by both students and colleagues. Former students have voiced that she is the reason they became the nurses they are today. She had an unbelievable ability to fill a person with self worth, to make them feel empowered to be the best version of themselves. She’s the type of person one aspires to be. It was an honor and privilege to love and be loved by her. She was the definition of what a Mother should be; patient, compassionate, fulfilling, and provided unconditional love. She will be greeted by her favorite four legged companions at the end of the rainbow bridge. Her strength and determination has been instilled in her children and grandchildren, who will continue living her legacy. She will be missed more than words could begin to describe. We will strive every day to make her proud. She leaves behind husband, Victor; children, Marisa, Michael, Megan and Madison; grandchildren, Niko, Joss, Gavin and Sophie; sister, Rory; Father, Alvin.
A tribute to her life on February 28, 2018, will begin at 10:30am at Sylvan Abby in Clearwater, followed by a Celebration of life at the family’s home at 1:00pm. As she was the brightest star in our life, we ask for you to dress in colors that would symbolize this.
