Dr. Levi Cohen

Dr. Levi Cohen, beloved psychiatrist, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 surrounded by family and loved ones. Throughout a distinguished career spanning decades, Dr. Cohen dedicated his life to the care and understanding of others, earning the admiration of colleagues, patients, and the community he served with compassion, wisdom, and quiet dignity.

Born with a deep curiosity about the human spirit and a commitment to helping others, Dr. Cohen built a respected career in psychiatry marked not only by professional excellence but by genuine kindness and empathy. He touched countless lives through his practice, offering guidance, comfort, and hope to generations of patients and families.

Dr. Cohen was the beloved husband of Lynn Boyle. He was predeceased by his wives, Ann B. Delehanty Cohen and Laura Cohen, each of whom held a special place in his life and heart.

He was a loving father to Chase Bilbrey, Garrett Barham, James DeVoursney, and Michael DeVoursney. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Ryan DeVoursney, Jamie DeVoursney, Brett DeVoursney, Jeremy DeVoursney, Jesse DeVoursney, Tyler DeVoursney, Lilliana DeVoursney, Juliana DeVoursney, Shaun Bilbrey, Jason, Bilbrey and Justin Bilbrey; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte DeVoursney, Celine, DeVoursney, and Lachlan DeVoursney.

Known for his intellect, warmth, sharp wit, and unwavering dedication to his family, Dr. Cohen leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and love. He cherished time spent with family, valued meaningful conversation, and remained deeply engaged with the lives of those around him throughout his years.

His memory will be treasured by all who knew him, and his influence will continue through the many lives he touched both personally and professionally.

Visitation will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759, on May 15, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on May 15, 2026, at 6:30 pm.

A committal service will take place at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759, on May 16, 2026, at 8:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dr. Cohen’s memory to a mental health or charitable organization of the family’s choosing.
