Linda Mae Sutherland

Linda Mae Sutherland, age 81, of Clearwater, Florida, joined her husband in Heaven on February 28, 2026. She was born in Meriden, Connecticut on December 23,1944 to the late Edward & Irene (Despins) Stevens.

She found the love of her life, the late Myron “Mike” Sutherland, and was engaged in 2 weeks, and married in 2 months on the Fourth of July.

Linda loved to read, do crosswords, and spend time with family and friends. She also loved a good glass of Chardonnay and having dinner every Saturday night with her daughter. She loved her grandchildren, always doting on both and loved sharing what was happening in their lives. She played the piano and the organ in her early adult life, always filling their home with music. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafting, golfing, and cruising.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mike, her beloved son, Peter and son-in-law, John Sailor.

She is survived by her adoring daughter, Debra Sailor, and grandchildren, Reid Sailor, and Courtney Baker.

We will celebrate Linda’s life at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 15th at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Clearwater, Florida with a graveside service, followed by a reception.
