

Lorraine Melita Friedley also know as Spick by her family, 84, of Palm Harbor FL died Monday February 29, 2016 at Mease Countryside hospital of natural causes. She was born March 31, 1931. She was born in the District of Columbia and spent the last 50 + years in Florida and raised by her great parents Dudley and Rose Weidemeyer. Lorraine had two sisters, Virginia Tabbut and Rose Marie (Ree) Tanner. They loved to sing together and went by the group name the “Three Tons of Joy”. She started her career in Washington DC and ended a wonderful career as a travel agent, getting to travel many places around the world. Everyone who met Lorraine felt the warmth and love she had for her family and friends. She loved to dance and listen to music. She was preceded in death by her husband George Friedley, her parents Dudley and Rose and her very best friend Mel Stroupe. She was a devoted mother and is survived by her son Dennis Friedley, daughter Denise Friedley, sisters Ree and Virginia and grandchildren Gage, Easton, Annabelle, Noelle, Danielle and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home of Thursday March 3, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and memorial service will be held at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home on Friday March 4, 2016 at 10:00 am and a brief service following at the Sylvan Abbey grave site which will be her final resting place alongside her family. We will dearly miss her.
