She was born in Richmond, Kentucky, to her late parents, Reverend Bill Norton and Helen Norton. In 1942, she moved to Umatilla, Florida, at the young age of 9. She graduated from Umatilla High School in 1951 and went on to attend Stetson University, graduating in 1955.
Margaret Ann married Jack Womack Sr. in Dade City, Florida, on June 28, 1957. Together, they raised two children: Vicki and Jack Jr.
Margaret Ann wore many hats. She worked for many years in early education and served as the choir director and handbell director for First Baptist Church in Dunedin. She was also an accomplished organist and pianist, playing at many local churches. Margaret Ann co-owned Dunedin Printing Company, a family-run business.
Her many hobbies included crocheting, fishing, crossword puzzles, and annual trips to Virginia. In later years, she took up coloring birthday cards for every member of her church. Above all, she loved her family and spending quality time together. It's almost impossible to find a photo of "Granny" without one of her grandchildren or great-grandchildren beside her.
She is survived by her children: Vicki (Barry) and Jack "Bubba" (Michele); her four grandsons: Andy (Crystal), Bryan (Cathy), Kyle (Nina), and Ryan (Kelly); and many great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Womack Sr.
A visitation and funeral service will be held for Margaret Ann on August 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM at 2860 Sunset Point Rd., Clearwater, FL 33759.
The family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Margaret Ann's name be made to:
