Mrs. Marie C Burke

Burke, Marie C, 93, passed away peacefully at her residence in Clearwater ,Fl on Friday 1/9/14. Originally from Staten Island, NY, Marie retired to Clearwater ,FL in 1976. Marie and her husband Ray were married for 65 years until his death in 2008.She is survived by her daughter AnneMarie ,son-in-law Jim and grand-daughter Kelly, and many nieces and nephews. Her son Raymond pre-deceased her in 2013. Marie also had a Florida family that loved her dearly, Angy and Jim Hayes, grandchildren Daniel, Christine, Jessica and Brody, and 3 great grandchildren, Jaxson, Brady and Logan. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends . Marie loved life and lived every minute to the fullest, she was fearless and always ready to try something new. She was involved in many theatre groups in Pinellas County and whenever she was on stage she stole the show. She was a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church where she was involved in many ministries and organizations. Marie served as a volunteer at Mease Hospitals on the Dunedin and Countryside Campuses, most recently in the Diabetic Clinic at Mease Countryside There will be a Celebration of Mare’s life at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church next weekend. Wake and prayer Service Friday 1/23/15 7:00-9:00pm Funeral Mass Saturday 1/24/15 11:00am In lieu of flowers Marie had requested donations be given to St Vincent de Paul Society at Espiritu Santo or Suncoast Hospice.
