She was beloved by many for her open loving way. She was a friend to everyone she met. Always ready to help out with a ride or money. Her checkbook was always open. She loved traveling, taking road trips. She loved to drive; after Dad died she took us out west for a trip she and Dad always dreamed about. 3 boys, a girl and a baby in a station wagon went everywhere. We still talk about it. She was a lifelong member of Sylvan Abbey United Methodist Church. She was honored as one of their oldest living members a few years ago. She loved music and dancing. She enjoyed having parties with her friends she met at Arne’s and the Moose Lodge. The house would be full of people having a good time dancing while the guys would be playing music. She loved her home, always fixing it up. Wallpapering, shopping for deals, and nagging us to clean it. She was an avid baseball fan; her first favorite team was the Cincinnati Reds. She watched them play at Crosley Field on Redheads day for free. In later years she rooted for the home team, The Tampa Bay Rays. The night she died the Rays sent her out with a 12-0 win over Kansas City. She would have loved it. But most of all, she loved her children unconditionally. If we brought home another one for her to love, she never stopped loving them, even if we parted ways. She held onto everyone with her cards and letters. She never let us down. She was always there to help us in any way she could. She only wanted to spend time with us. She gave us life and we were hers.
