Mary Louise Scheiffele

Seminole, Florida – Mary Louise Scheiffele (Lou), 83, of Seminole, Florida, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 6th, 2016. Lou was born on September 2nd, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived in Norwood. She graduated from Regina High School in 1950. In 1957, she married the love of her life, Lou Scheiffele, and moved to Blue Ash to raise her family. In 1971, the family moved to Seminole, FL where she would in time finish her Associate’s degree at St. Petersburg Junior College. Lou enjoyed her work and coworkers at Smith’s Industries, as well as Si-Tex. After retirement, she maintained residence in Seminole, FL and became an active member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood (local chapter #EF). Lou had a tremendous amount of love for her family and in years past was often found sewing cherished items for family members, attending events that her children (and grandchildren) participated in, and finding ways to simply brighten their days. These are some of the things we will all miss most about her. Lou is predeceased by her husband Louis John Scheiffele, Jr. She is survived by her children Gary (Karen) Scheiffele of Gainesville, FL, David (Julie) Scheiffele of Paso Robles, CA and Judy (Andrew) Stroh of Shelburne, VT. She cherished her grandchildren Irene (John) Engelbrecht, Dianne Scheiffele (Jordan Bushnell), Grant Scheiffele, Elise Scheiffele, and Travis Stroh. She is also survived by her sister, Anne Fogelman and brother, Ken (Karen) Vordem Esche and predeceased by a sister, Ruth Schaefer. In addition, Lou leaves behind a large community of dear friends and loved ones. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 12th at 02:00 pm, which will be followed by refreshments, at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, (727-796-1992). In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the American Cancer Society (PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123) or the Alzheimer’s Association (Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, 14010 Roosevelt Blvd., #709, Clearwater, Florida, 33762).
