Maureen P. Cogar

Maureen Philomena (Butler) Cogar, age 83, born in Ipswich, England, went to be with her Father and family in heaven on March 2, 2024. Maureen was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Cogar, her mother, Kathleen (Norris) Butler, her father, Michael Joseph Butler, her sisters Jean Hoard and Patricia Beard.

She is survived by her many children and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, her brother, Donald Butler and his wife, Kathy. Her children being Gail Nash, Dale Francisco, Michelle Pattison, Melanie Griswold, Julie Reintges, Susan Cogar-Daniels, and Michael Cogar.

Maureen raised seven children while working and caring for her home. She had a fulfilling career in hospital administration and was able to retire early to hit the open road with her husband in the RV. They were able to enjoy many years together traveling and visiting new places and old faces. The last few years without her husband were challenging and when it was time to go she was looking forward to being with him again.

Services will be held at Sylvan Abbey, 2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, Florida on Friday, March 8, 2024 were she will be laid to rest with her husband. Visitation will be at 2:00 and Graveside service at 3:00pm.
