

He will be remembered by his children, Michael (Sharon), Mark (Helen) and David (Renee); grandchildren, Joanna (Doug), Mark (Joanna), Catherine and Mikey; great-grandchildren, James and Vincent; brothers and sister, Nicholas, John, James, Marie Milazzo and Richard, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Anne; his sister, Katherine Fricano and brothers, Sebastian, Daniel and Edward.
Michael Caputi graduated from Lafayette High School in Buffalo, New York, class of 1944. He later served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific theater during World War II. In 1950, he married Anne Buccella and they would enjoy many years together in Tonawanda, New York, before moving to Dunedin, Florida in 1982.
Michael was an avid card player, specifically the game of Pinochle. For decades, he played Pinochle with his brothers at a standing Tuesday night game. He loved sports, and favored baseball, rooting for the Tampa Bay Rays most recently. Michael was an active member at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mike (Dad, Poppy, Grandpa) will be missed deeply, remembered fondly and remain always in our hearts.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 17 from 5pm – 7pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd. in Clearwater, FL. A funeral service and mass will be held on Saturday, September 18 at 11am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 750 San Salvador Dr. in Dunedin, FL followed by a graveside service at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home.
