On the early morning of Sunday, January 31st, Nadine F. Leeberg passed away peacefully at her home in Tampa, FL. Born in Havre, Montana, her family returned to Minnesota shortly after where she developed her love for the outdoors and spent her days boating, fishing, horseback riding, dancing, riding snowmobiles, and discovered her love of baking and cooking. She received her diploma from the Dunwoody Institute of Baking and held various Pastry Manager and Chef positions before being hired at General Mills as a Corporate Chef where she earned many accolades and awards. Of the awards that she won, the ones she cherished most were at the Upper Midwest Baker’s Convention where she won Grand Champion of Birthday Cake Decorating and the President’s Award for Special Occasion Cake Decorating, as well as nine General Mills Chairman’s Awards for Outstanding Performance. In 2003, she moved from Minnesota to Tampa, FL where she met and fell in love with her soulmate, Art. She quickly became a part of his family and became step-mom to his two children, Adrian and Lianna, and grandma, a.k.a. Nae Nae, to Adrian’s young daughter, Addison. Nadine is survived by her father, William “Bill” Dorcy, his wife, Pat Dorcy, her mother, Phyllis Dorcy, her brother, Mark Dorcy, many aunts, uncles and cousins, the love of her life, Arthur Druba, and her two “kitties”, BJ and Ziggy. Services will be held at the Sylvan Abbey, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759 on Saturday, February 6th at 2pm. Nadine’s passion was gathering her loved ones around the dining room table, surrounding them with good food and conversation.
